But now when I plug it in, a little blinking orange light is supposed to be on to show that it’s in standby, and well, it isn’t. I was wondering if it could be a fuse that got blown because I took out the lamp and examined it to see if it was alright, and it appeared to be. The darn thing is extremely hard to take apart, so if I could get a link to somewhere on how to do it, that would be extremely valuable to me.

I bought a viewsonic hdtv projector back in January. Yesterday when I turned it on, after a couple of minutes the screen went blank. The fans were still running so I don’t think it over heated. I use the projector on an every day bases. Is it just the light bulb that is going out or is it something more? The hours on the lamp read 1353 – 55, but I thought the lamp was supposed to last for 3000 hours. Unless I am reading this 1353 – 55 (55 I think are the minutes) hours all wrong. I built a shelf for it so I know it has not been dropped. Somebody please help.
